PeaceWeek 2011, A Global Telesummit is occurring this week with The Shift Network on behalf of their CEO, Stephen Dinan. Dinan was the past Director of Membership and Marketing at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, another organization that speaks to my heart.
I have followed The Shift Network this year. It is a fabulous organization and a global movement of people creating an evolutionary shift of consciousness. This shift in consciousness leads to a more enlightened society, built on principles of sustainability, peace, health, and prosperity.
Marianne Williamson, author of several great books, gave a recent talk at The Shift Networks global summit. She shared with us her recent visit to Israel and her experiences of listening to conversations of pain being spoken in circles, validated and heard. Marianne wants to maximize and seek new conversations of pain to lift us above our battles to a movement towards peace.
Here was Marianne’s closing prayer that I felt compelled to share with you today. Read the words closely and feel her power of peace:
Dear God, we thank you for all the paths we have walked – the paths of darkness as well as the paths of light, for they have brought us here. And in this moment we surrender. We surrender all that we have and all that we are. We surrender our talent. We surrender our intelligence. We surrender our resources. We surrender our abilities and ask that they be used. We ask that our own abilities now join at the highest level of creative possibility with the efforts of others. We send light and blessings to those who have hosted this program and to all those listening with us. We ask that a divine fire be placed within each of us that we might rise up out of darkness, out of fear, out of limitation, out of unforgiveness, out of personal circumstances and limited story. May we be used as conduits, as a great wave of love, and light, and blessing, and peace. May we be the vessels through which you operate. That divine love may replace all fear; that peace may replace all war and violence; that joy might replace all unnecessary pain. That the tears of all humanity shall be wiped away. Place in our hearts a divine vision not only of what can be, but how we can serve . . . tho it is we all say, Amen
