Chakra #6 – “The Wise One”

Yesterday I shared insight into Chakra #5, The Communicator and today I’ll cover Chakra #6, “The Wise One”.

I will continue to provide to you each chakra’s function and its connection to our physical and emotional health.  I will also provide tips to teach you how to work with each chakra if you sign up for this blog and request a CAP or Chakra Action Plan.   You can also send an email to m2m@fuse.net and title the subject line:  CAP – Chakra Action Plan.  This action plan will be provided no later than two weeks after the final chakra blog is published.

Here is what has been published so far:

June 7, 2011, I covered Chakra #1 – The Grounder
June 8, 2011, was about Chakra #2 – The Creator
June 9, 2011, insight into Chakra #3 – The Powerball
June 16, 2011, was about Chakra #4 – The Heartfelt
June 22, 2011, I covered Chakra #5 – The Communicator

I will again cite my references for this chakra series blog:

Deborah King, Truth Heals – without the knowledge obtained from her book, Truth Heals, I wouldn’t have been able to recognize my own issues and begin my self-transforming journey.

Swami Saradananda – without being presented with her book, Chakra Meditation, I would have stayed “stuck” in my own turmoil.

Many of you may know that each chakra takes in and processes energy as it distributes this energy back out through our body or psyche.  These chakras are the reason that our emotions are thought to affect certain parts of our physical body, which in turn, can make us ill mentally, physically and spiritually.

Understanding these chakras and the many ways to work with each one, helps us remove negative energy blocks that can open up and enhance our physical and emotional well-being.

Today is about Chakra #6 – The Wise One.

Location:
The third eye chakra is located between the eyebrows.

Aka (also known as):
Ajna Chakra

Function:
Its function is to manage our five senses (see, hear, smell, taste, touch) and our conscious and subconscious mind.  The six spiritual powers of meditation, concentration, directing our undivided attention, thought-control, achieving super-conscious state and attainment to enlightenment are other important functions of this powerful chakra.

Chakra Physical Disorders:
When the third eye chakra is not balanced, the physical body risk areas are brain tumors, hemorrhages, acute sinus conditions, neurological disorders, poor eyesight, blindness, stroke, migraines, dizziness and poor memory or insomnia.

Emotional & Physical Issues:
A blocked third eye chakra distorts our ability to trust our intuition.  We may experience fear of success and communicate poorly or fail to understand subtle signals setting our standards too low.

Negative Traits:
We may lack discipline or inner vision and can become self-righteous, arrogant or authoritarian.

Natural Event or Common Characteristics:
A number of common or natural events or characteristics can occur that can knock this chakra off-balance.  Some of those events or characteristics are:

  1. Learning disabilities
  2. Lack follow through
  3. Low perception or insight
  4. Failing to see or accept the truth

Importance:

This chakra is in charge of inspiration, intuition, intelligence, vision, insight and wisdom.  If this chakra is blocked, it doesn’t allow us to witness the world and perceive everything that is needed within the scope of the five senses.

Action Plan:
Sign up for this blog and I will send you a personal action plan to balance this important chakra.

Until tomorrow, come right back here where we’ll take a look at Chakra #7, “The Mystic”.
