Disney’s Wizards of Waverly – Realize Your Power

Ever heard of the show Wizards of Waverly Place?  It’s a children’s show about an Italian-Mexican family in training to become wizards and one of its stars is Selena Gomez.  The other day I watched this show with my grandchildren – they love this show.  They sang the shows theme song over and over again dancing to this marvelous tune (see below where I share the lyrics)!

This particular episode was a spoof on the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth.  Three of the cast members were riding around in a miniature space ship inside another boy’s body.  They visited the brain of this boy who was in love with Selena Gomez who plays Alex on the show.   It shows his brain and all his neurons and synapses lighting up with pictures of Alex embed in these connections.  Alex sees these pictures and she realizes he really cares about her.  These connections are representing his thoughts.

This show wasn’t only about wizardry, but I also saw a lot about the Abraham-Hicks Law of Attraction, The Secret, Thoughts are Things, Molecules of Emotion, Everything You Need To Know To Feel Good, Spontaneous Evolution, Biology of Belief and many more.  For those of you who know about these fabulous authors, you will enjoy the lyrics to the theme song.

The lyrics for the Selena Gomez theme song go like this:

Well you know everything’s gonna be a breeze
that the end will no doubt justify the means
You could fix any problem at the slightest ease
Yes, please…
Well you might find out It’ll go to your head
When you write a report on a book you never read
With the snap of your fingers you can make your bed
That’s what I said

Everything is not what it seems
When you can get all you wanted in your wildest dreams
You might run into trouble if you go to extremes
Because everything is not what it seems

Everything is not what it seems
When you can get what you want by the simplest of means
Be careful not to mess with the balance of things
Because everything is not what it seems

To watch the segment, click on the video below of  “Journey to the Center of Mason”.  If you want to get to the part I’m referring to, fast forward to 1:24 to 2:10 minutes where you will see them passing through his brain where his thoughts reside.

Think of the power this wonderful show creates.  The theories behind many of the books I mentioned above are based on the premise that we create our own reality through our thoughts.  Do you think it’s right to teach children this philosophy at a young age?  I wish I would have had the opportunity to use this vehicle on my own children when they were young instead of filling them full of my erroneous subconscious beliefs.

What do you think?
