My Favorite Author, Candace Pert, Ph.D

Many of you may not know Candace by name but she is a very sought after speaker on the subject of emotions and the link that connects body and soul.  She was featured in the film, What the Bleep Do We Know, The Secret and is the author of Molecules of Emotions.  Her recent book, Everything You Need to Know to Feel Go(o)d is topping the charts for her groundbreaking efforts at sharing some of her research about how we are creating the reality we are experiencing.  I use Candace’s stories in her book about the alternative therapies as a building block for my own personal healing.  She adds scientific as well as spiritual data to help us blend our worlds view with a metaphysical view.

Candace has a knack of effectively sharing information with me about her research on how we humans actually have a say in how our life goes.  She shares stories about her research and evidence of how we can gain access to unlimited possibilities through thinking new thoughts to rewire our brains.  She goes on to share that there are no accidents and consciousness gives rise to outward manifestations – we are responsible for our reactions.  It’s a thrilling read into science and spirituality that will keep you wanting to know more.

Here’s a tip from Candace that I’m using today:  Have a hard time forgiving others?  I do and often can’t understand why I can’t seem to cross this threshold. She recommends that If you are angry at someone or you are unable to forgive them, think of them while you listen regularly to a special CD, like her Psychosomatic Wellness CD, or any other meditative music you might have.  She warns you to be ready for the results as our emotions are often buried so deep and in a relaxed state things that block us from forgiveness could appear while we are in this relaxed state.  These techniques may help you get in touch with painful buried emotions in order to begin the forgiveness process.

My disclaimer to all of this – TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK – I am not a physician, psychologist, or any kind of “ist” that qualifies me to prescribe remedies for your emotional state.   Only you can take that responsibility on yourself.  I am merely experiencing very positive healing in my study of Candace’s work.
